Gosaikunda Trekking

Gosaikunda Trekking is one of the most popular cultural treks in the Himalayas of Nepal. This trek will take you to the altitude of 4,300 meters. Gosaikunda Trekking trail includes beautiful rhododendron & pine forests, rivers, streams, several small villages, meadows, and cultivated fields. The trail go through several ascends and descends on a steep section and rugged path, which make this trek more adventurous and challenging. It is believed that Lord Shiva created Gosaikunda Lake when he intruded a glacier with his trident to obtain water to quench his thirst after having swallowed a poison that threatened to destroy the world. Many devotees visit this lake every year to take bath in this holy lake. The also says that, if you will take bath in this holy lake all of your sins and diseases will get washed off.
